Course description

Innovative & Creative ideas for teaching RE with great resource suggestions

Session 1:
Intent in RE
Why are we teaching RE? Why is RE important in your school? Do pupils and teachers understand what good RE looks like?
What is my role as subject leader?

Session 2:
Implementing RE
What is it that OFSTED are looking for? How can we put together a curriculum for progression? How can we plan well using the North Yorkshire Agreed Syllabus?
What resources can we use to support pupils to encounter religious and non-religious worldviews

Session 3: Subject Knowledge
How can you support teachers with their subject knowledge?
What information do you need in order to teach about different religions. This session will improve teachers and subject leaders own subject knowledge as well as providing inspirational, knowledgeable and creative teaching resources and strategies.
